Crystals For Beauty

The best gemstones to enhance your inner and outer beauty...

Via Herbivore Botanicals…

The beauty space is filling up with crystals, so I wanted to share my faveoutie buys and brands!

But first, why use crystals for beauty?

Remember, beauty isn’t always an outside job. Nowadays, instead of turning to the surgeons knife, people are recognising the benefit of letting their inner beauty radiate…

As the great Roald Dahl wrote in The Twits

“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

Yes, there are still the Kardashian crew, and those that turn to injectables, implants and other cosmetic enhancements, however people’s growing interest in crystals is really connected to a sense of inner wellbeing.

A sense of inner wellbeing – a sense of genuine peace – allows one to connect with something much greater, outside the narrow parameters of what is deemed acceptable, attractive or aspirational.

With the relentless visuals presented on the internet and delivered via social media it’s becoming more important to have a genuine and authentic sense of this inner sanctum – serenity, confidence and self-esteem.

Crystals are just one of the tools used in the pursuit of happiness, so there’s a natural synergy with infusing them into our beauty rituals.

Rose Quartz is the go-to crystal to soothe relationships, and most crystal lovers will easily lay their hands on this pretty stone.

Facial Rollers

Via Amazon

Living in Hong Kong I’m definitely a fan of facial rollers, which are huge in Asia, as well as crystal tools used for massage.

These help to reduce puffiness, inflammation and increase circulation, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles. Although rose quartz ones are particularly pretty they come in a variety of crystals including jade (a stone that has a deep resonance with dream-life, gentle knowledge and devotion), agate and amethyst.

Crystal Combs

I’m also a fan of crystal combs and any beauty rituals that encourage us to slow down, meditate and indulge the senses. After all, beauty is meant to be enjoyable!

Radiance Mask

I’m a big fan of Herbivore Botanicals, who use micronized Brazilian Tourmaline gemstone in their radiance mask…

Hydrating Creme

Aveda Hydrating Creme, features finely-powdered tourmaline…

Tatcha even produced a gold facial massager

(Diamonds &…) Pearl Concentrate!

Dying to try the new pearl concentrated extract from Moon Juice!

Crystal Bar Soap

The crystal bar soap company definitely has the aesthetics sussed! Gorgeous soap bars and they even have a new zodiac collection…

I wouldn’t buy it myself but it’s interesting to note that Kim Kardashian’s earlier fragrance line was based on healing crystals…
