How can we use therapeutic oils during the season of Taurus – late April to late May – and what are the best essential aromatherapy oils for Taurus themselves?
Let’s look to the stars for answers! As a complementary therapy, we can work with aromatherapy, with recommended blends for different seasons.
During Taurus Season, we might like to consider the essential oils that have a balancing, healing effect on Taurus: Jasmine, Vetiver and Myrrh.
Jasmine is my first choice for Taurus.
It is a Venus ruled aroma that enhances and encourages Taureans’ sensual nature, and embodies the bull’s love of quality and luxury.
Jasmine is prized for its aphrodisiac, anti- depressant effects.
‘Queen of the night’ Jasmine is a favourite base note in women’s perfumes. How to best utilise this exquisite scent?
In both cases, pay particular attention to the neck and throat, the Taurus ruled area of the body.
Vetiver is earthy and grounding, just like Taurus.
It’s a perfect essential oil for those who need to centre their energies and open up their root chakra.
It is a calming, yin oil and a wonderful psychic protection for over-sensitivity or psychic sponges; simply add a drop to your finger and apply to your solar plexus in an anti-clockwise direction.
Add some drops to an oil diffuser during yoga and meditation. It makes a great moth and insect repellent too.
At times, those fixed Taureans can get stuck in ruts and need some help in shifting forwards and making some changes.
Myrrh essential oil helps them to move forward, both spiritually and emotionally.
There are many ways to absorb essential oils. You can either use a diffuser, add up to 5 drops to bath or have an Aromatherapy Massage. I suggest using 10 drops to every 40ml carrier oil for a massage.
Always do a skin test for oils you’ve never used, in the unlikely event of an allergy. To do this, add a drop to the back of your wrist, via a cotton bud, apply a plaster and wait for 24 hours.
There are some oils which are fine to use during pregnancy, though lots of them aren’t. Please check before use and do not ingest or apply the oils neat…
