ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AUTUMN WINTER 2017 – MOONS IN MYSTIC CORNWALL

Images are trickling through on the Alexander McQueen Instagram from the show seen earlier this year in March.

But honestly I totally missed this show first time round – now I’ve seen the gorgeous embroidered dresses I’m enchanted!

Sarah Burton’s inspiration comes by the way of old alchemy illustrations, druid symbols, faerie magick, Arthurian myth and Cornish wildlife, which have been rendered in black and silver beads and glass stones.

A field trip to St Ives, Cornwall bought the theme home, with an immersion in the folk legends, spells and landscapes of the south-west.

The micro-fine mesh of the black gown is perfect for witches – and the upcoming Jupiter in Scorpio transit!
